My name is Melanie Wilber, and I write stories of love, faith, and friendship for women and girls that
I self-publish under the business name of LifeSpring Press. I currently live in northern California, but I was raised
near Portland, Oregon, the setting for many of my books. I am married and have three children who are thirteen, eleven,
and eight. My husband, Kevin, is a youth pastor, and we attend Cold Springs Community Church in Placerville, California.
After writing the story that I put into
a contemporary setting, I began seeking publication from Christian publishers but had no success. God then provided
the means for me to self-publish that story along with several others I had written by that time. I've been writing
ever since and now have sixteen novels in print, a completed twelve-book teen series, the first six in
a series for middle school girls, three novels for college girls, and four devotional books. And I'm still
writing!
Through this journey
I have been drawn into a closer relationship with my Jesus, and He has made Himself known to me for all that He truly is.
I try to put into my stories what I have learned from His Word and from His personal work in my life as much as possible,
and it is my ultimate desire to know my God and to make Him known. Some of my favorite Bible verses are Psalm 25:4-5;
"Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are
God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."
In addition to writing,
I enjoy being with my family, taking pictures of my children, listening to music, flower gardening, romantic walks on the
beach with my husband, and teaching children about Jesus.

I began writing about fifteen years ago with
no clue about what I was doing! I just knew that I had always enjoyed writing, and writing a novel seemed like a fun
idea. After a few years of learning all I could from local writer's conferences and how-to books, I felt God laying
a particular story on my heart. This story, Baby's Breath, is now a part of the "Garden of Love"
series and is based largely on my mother's experience as a young single mom who found her way back to God during that
difficult time and found true love with a man she had earnestly prayed for. That man is my dad and they have now been
happily married for 50 years.
God has blessed me with an amazing gift that I am truly thankful for and in-awe of every day.
I love writing the stories as much as others seem to enjoy reading them, and I also do all of my own editing, formatting,
cover design and binding of the books. Many of my readers tell me they have passed their copies on to family members
and friends, and these books have ended up going all over the country and also internationally. In addition
