You know God. You serve Him.
You follow Him. But do you enjoy Him? Do you think you’re supposed to,
or does the concept seem like heresy to you? Over the last few years I have become convinced that we are
meant to enjoy God and that He really doesn’t want it any other way.
Jesus says it.
The Father desires it. The Holy Spirit can help us live it. So why don’t
we? Why is following God such a burden sometimes? Why do we come up with phrases like,
‘It’s not about me.’? Why do worship and service become a duty? In
other words, as Paul says, ‘What has happened to your joy?’
If you’d like to find out what has happened to yours and how you
can get it back, this devotional book is for you. Jesus wants to lead you into an awesome relationship
with Him. An exciting one. A joyful one. A fruitful one.
And it’s really not as hard as we often make it out to be. Enjoying God is not only possible,
it’s completely within our grasp. He wants it for us, and when we change our thinking and allow Him
to lead us as He truly desires, we will walk a new path of satisfaction, peace, rest, and joy like we’ve never known
before, and teach others to do the same.
